Paris to New York JFK is a daytime flight of a bit more than eight hours against the wind, landing in the afternoon or early evening with immigration at JFK. At Charles de Gaulle, Air France and Delta use Terminal 2E, and the RER B from Gare du Nord reaches the airport in roughly 35 minutes, cheaper than a taxi and immune to traffic on the A1. Give yourself three hours before departure: flights to the US get extra security questions at the gate. French and EU passports do not need a visa for the US but do need ESTA approval before boarding. From JFK, the AirTrain connects to the LIRR at Jamaica and the E train, and Brooklyn is under an hour by car outside rush hour.

Arriving at New York
