Baggage policy

Blue Basic includes a personal item and, on most routes, one carry-on bag; checked bags are paid extras. Blue includes a carry-on; the first checked bag costs $35 to $50 when added online more than 24 hours before departure, more at the airport. Blue Plus includes the first checked bag. Blue Extra includes a carry-on and early boarding but not a checked bag. Checked bag limits are 50 lb and 62 linear inches; overweight up to 99 lb adds $150 and oversized adds $150. Second bags cost $45 to $70 depending on when you add them.

Changes and refunds

Blue, Blue Plus and Blue Extra have no change or cancel fees; you pay the fare difference and cancellations become a JetBlue Travel Bank credit valid for 12 months. Blue Basic changes and cancellations cost $100 on domestic and Caribbean routes ($200 on longer routes) plus fare difference. All fares are fully refundable within 24 hours of booking. If JetBlue cancels or delays your flight significantly, you can take a cash refund instead of a rebooking.

Notes for Haiti and Caribbean travelers

JetBlue does not fly to Haiti as of September 2026. For Cap-Haïtien, we can sell a JetBlue flight to Fort Lauderdale combined with Sunrise Airways onward; that is two tickets, so we build in at least four hours between flights and explain the risk before you pay. To the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, JetBlue is often the best value from JFK, Boston and Fort Lauderdale, especially on Blue Plus when you have a suitcase.
