Questions about stays
Is the price really the total?
Yes. The number you see first includes the room, taxes and any mandatory hotel fees, plus our service fee. If a property collects a small local tax in cash on arrival, we say so on the room list before you book.
What does the Jetvala fee cover?
Booking, confirmation with the property, and a human who answers if something goes wrong at check-in. It is 10 percent of the room price, shown on its own line, and non-refundable.
Can I cancel?
Rates marked free cancellation can be cancelled for a full refund of the room price until the deadline shown. Non-refundable rates are cheaper because they cannot be cancelled. Our service fee is not refunded either way.
How do I know the hotel is legitimate?
We list properties we or our partners have visited or vetted, especially in Haiti where reviews are thin. Every booking comes with a property confirmation code you can call to verify.
