Kotoka International Airport
Kotoka International is Ghana's gateway, with Delta's nonstop from JFK and one-stop options on Air France, Royal Air Maroc and Ethiopian. Terminal 3, opened in 2018, is one of the most modern in West Africa.

Terminal and check-in
Terminal 3 is spacious with clear signage; arrive three and a half hours before a US flight for the gate interview. Only passengers enter the check-in hall.
Arrival process
Yellow fever certificates are checked before immigration. E-gates exist for Ghanaian passports; others queue, usually 20 to 40 minutes. ATMs and SIM counters (MTN, Vodafone) are in arrivals.
Getting to and from the airport
Airport taxis have a rate board at the exit; Uber and Bolt operate with pickup at the designated area. Central Accra is 20 to 45 minutes.
Tips
December is peak for the diaspora and for Detty December events; book early. Ghana's visa-free entry for Haitian passport holders makes Accra one of the easier long-haul trips for Haitian families.
