Cibao International Airport
Cibao International serves Santiago de los Caballeros and the Cibao valley, the DR's second city and the region with the closest ties to Haiti's north. Many Haitian families in the US use Santiago as a plan B when Cap-Haïtien flights are full, crossing at Dajabón with a trusted driver.

Terminal and check-in
A single modern terminal with a compact check-in hall; lines are short outside the holiday peaks. Two and a half hours ahead is enough most of the year.
Arrival process
Same electronic entry form as Santo Domingo (migracion.gob.do). Immigration is fast; bags arrive on two carousels.
Getting to and from the airport
Taxis to central Santiago cost about $25 to $30. For Dajabón and the border, arrange a driver in advance; Jetvala can connect you with vetted drivers who do the Santiago to Cap-Haïtien run in daylight.
Tips
Cross the border before 2 pm; Dajabón closes to pedestrians in the late afternoon and the Haitian side has no facilities after dark. Overnight in Santiago rather than attempt border plus flight in one day.
